Effect of swimming pool enclosures in air and temperature of the pool:
The polycarbonate panels act like a greenhouse. Direct exposure by sunlight, and even on cloudy days, the impact of diffuse sunlight heats the air inside the telescopic enclosure.

At the beginning of the warm season the enclosure will raise the water temperature of the pool, without a heating pump system, by 2°C per day when exposed to direct sunlight.

Water temperature also increases on a clear day even when there is no direct sunlight. Evaporation leads to heat loss. If the temperature difference between water and air is 3º C, a pool of 32 m2 will lose 40 liters of water per day, and a pool of 80 m2 will lose 100 liters. A thermal pool enclosure will isolate the water surface from the outer atmosphere - and will reduce water evaporation.

The combination of pool covers and a telescopic pool enclosure is a highly successful way of reducing the costs of water heating. Also, the use of a pool cover is highly recommended to reduce evaporation, the principal cause of condensation. If the inside of the enclosure absorbs too much heat, just move one of the modules of the telescopic pool enclosure to ventilate the enclosed area.

Swimming pool enclosures in strong winds:
Our pool enclosures have a wind resistance of 100 km/h, but in especially exposure areas we can strengthen the structure with an anchoring system that immobilizes each module by placing resistant steel cords that hook to a pin installed in the pavement.

Cleaning the pool enclosure:
The polycarbonate telescoping enclosure can be cleaned frequently to remove dirt from the surface. In most cases it is as easy as rinsing with a little water. In cases where the dirt is more dense, it suffices to pass a soft cloth with a little neutral detergent and then rinse the outer area with water.
Note: Some cleaners and soaps that are generally recommended for use with polycarbonates are not always compatible with our UV-protected surface of Makrolon polycarbonate panels.

Strength of pools and spas enclosures:
The structure of our pool enclosures is highly resistant to normal external weather conditions - moisture, sun, rain, snow, high and low temperatures - have a resistance to temperatures from -50ºC to 115º C.
